What is the free breakfast?

Book in advance at to enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast at Everton Hostel and its (served 7-10am daily.) Feast on toast, spreads, fruit, cereal, juice, tea and coffee. 

What time is check in and check out?

Daily Check in 3 PM

Daily Check Out 11 AM

Check-in is from 3 pm daily. Our Receptions is open until 10 pm Sunday through to Thursday and 24 hours on weeks, Fri and Sat, so if you’re arriving late, just contact us so we know you’re coming! If you arrive before 3:00 pm, feel free to pop your bag in the free luggage room and get out and explore the city! If you’re leaving any valuables, make sure to rent a secure locker for £1 per day and £5 deposit is reqired.

You’ll need to be packed up and out of your room by 10 am on the day that you’re leaving. Please drop your key back at Reception – other guests can use it after you! If you aren’t leaving the city until later in the day, then leave your bag in the free luggage room and carry on exploring.

Do you provide bed linen and towels?

A pillow, duvet and fresh bedding await you! Towels are available for the cost of £1 and held with your key deposit, or bring your own or rent one from Reception.

Where can I leave my things?

If you arrive before 3 pm, you can pop your bag in the free luggage room and head out and explore the city! You can do the same on the day you check out if you’re not leaving the city until later on.

Once you’re checked in, there are £1 per day hire lockers available to use – around the hostel, depending on the location you’re staying in. Bear in mind, though, these aren’t usually big enough for very large bags. If you can, bring a smaller backpack which you can use to put valuables in and lock away.

There isn’t much-hanging space when you’re staying in a hostel, especially in a dorm, so we’d always recommend packing clothes that don’t crease easily! Please try and be considerate to other guests too, and make sure that your own clothes don’t take over the whole room.

Can I bring alcohol into the hostel?

Yes! thats fine but if your a group then do ask us for black bags and place the bags in the corner of your room for the morning cleaning team. filled with your cans and bottles.

Can I smoke/vape in the hostels?

Sorry, it’s strictly no smoking/vaping inside the hostels! If you enjoy a nicotine fix every now and then, you’re welcome to smoke/vape outside the hostels in either our garden smoker area until 10 pm or out front anytime.

When can I use the self-catering kitchen?

Want to make a budget-friendly lunch or dinner? The self-catering kitchen is open from 24/7 but closes daily for cleaning between 10 am – 12 pm midday.. The kitchen is used to serve breakfast in the mornings, so can be used for other cooking during this time.

Can I just turn up to the hostel to book a bed/room?

For sure! We always try to keep a few beds available for walk-ins. It can get busy in the cities though, especially in the summer, so we’d suggest booking on our site to check availability and cheapest prices.

Is the hostel safe and secure?

Our reception is open Sun – Thurs 7am-10pm and Fri-Sat 24 Hrs, so there’s always someone available if you have any issues or need a question answered. Access to all the hostels is by key or pin code only – so keep it safe! Our security team are on duty every night and CCTV cameras are up and running in all communal areas and corridors.

Will my friends and I all be in the same room?

We do our very best to make sure you and your friends are all placed in the same room (please note, however, that we can’t be held responsible if you discover a secret snorer amongst your group!). In the unlikely event that we can’t put you all together, we’ll let you know before you arrive.

How long can I stay in the hostel?

You can only book to stay with us for up to 30 days per bookings at any one time.

Are there hairdryers / irons in the rooms?

Afraid not! We do have a few you can hire (£1) at reception though. Just leave a deposit with us and you can take it up to your room and return it for your deposit.

What’s an en-suite room?

A room that has its own bathroom. It means you don’t have to go outside your room to use the toilet or shower. Just be aware that if you have booked an en-suite dorm, you’ll share the bathroom with other guests staying in the dorm with you. You will also find all common rooms have bathrooms should you room be busy for long periods.

Do you provide confirmation letters for embassies or NI application?

Yes, just ask a member of the team for the template letter we provide to show you have booked with us explaining your period of booking and how long you have booked. Your receipt will also show the same if applying for NI.

Are the dormitories mixed?

All dorms are mixed but you may book a whole dorm if you want your group of males or females in that space.

What payment methods do you accept upon check-in?

If payment hasn’t been taken beforehand, cash is accepted in the official currency of the country (£) GBP. Credit cards are accepted for bookings that have been made on other websites, where payment hasn’t been made in advance.

Can I still book if I don't have a credit card?

Nope, sorry! You’ll need a credit or debit card to secure your booking. Whilst we can’t hold a booking without a card, our reservations team can let you know about availability. If plenty of beds available, please note that you can make a reservation upon arrival and pay in cash if you’re already in the hostel but if your not then you’ll have to fund your booking in advance via a card.

Why do the rates vary?

Rates can vary for different reasons. A lot of the time, it’s down to availability and how busy it is in the city. Our rates during the week days can vary from £5 to £50 depending on the event taking place in the city.

Can I bring children under 16 years of age?

You can indeed! We welcome youngsters in private bookings. Children under 16 must be booked in dorm where they have the full room or the whole party must take over a whole dorm. Teenagers aged 16 and 17 can be booked into shared dorms as long as they’re with someone aged 18 or over.

What’s a dorm room?

If you book a dorm room, you’ll be sleeping in a bunk bed and sharing your room with other travellers. Dorm rooms range in size from 4 bed to 12 bed dorms, depending on which hostel you stay in. Staying in a dorm is a great, budget friendly option and the best place to stay if you’re looking to meet new people and make friends.

Why do you need my credit card details?

We need your credit card details to make a reservation, as full payment may be taken at the time of booking.

How do I cancel or amend my reservation?

If you’ve booked a fully flexible rate you can cancel up to 48 hours before arrival if solo booking and 7 days if the group, if you’ve booked more than 2 dorms then 30 days to resell the beds. Som bookings have booked the full hostel and it require 30 days to resell all those beds.. If you’ve booked a non-refundable rate (our cheapest rates) then it’s not possible to cancel your booking. How do I cancel a booking?

If you wish to cancel or amend your reservation and to receive a full refund you will need to notify us by email at [email protected] 7 Days in advance of your arrival date, by 2.30pm. If you notify us any later than 7 days before your arrival date, or in case of a no-show, you will not be entitled to a refund. This applies to solo bookings, all group bookings must notify us within 30 days of check-in date and time.

Booking will be charged in at the time of booking.

All bookings if modified, cancelled, or in case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
If you arrive a day or more late without informing the hostel, we will attempt to accommodate you, but this may not be in the same room type booked & may incur extra charges.

External & Third Party Booking Platforms

If you have booked via a third party website, please refer to our cancellation policy terms on that website. You must also inform the site if you wish to amend or cancel your booking & also inform us in writing at [email protected]. The terms listed on Third Party bookings platforms may vary from each other, so please ensure you review the correct policy terms.
Grace period bookings made via third party websites, if you book & cancel on the same day then you will receive a refund minus a £5 processing fee. If you book on the same day as arrival & cancel there is no refund.
If you book a non-refundable rate via a third party booking platform, the booking is non-refundable.
Note: All bookings must be paid at the time of booking or we will resell your booking.


Things to Note

To complete the booking, we pre-authorise your card full amount for the booking and if this fails then contact you to take payment for your booking, should this fail then we cancel the booking 24 hours after booking.

If you have a group booking, we charge full payment 30 days in advance for all bookings, we charge first night as deposit over 30 days and remaining due 30 days before you arrive.

Is there a Deposit?

A £20 per person deposit is required upon check-in and is returned at check out to secure against keys linens room. We accept Passports as security on room’s keys but we do not accept ID cards or driving licences.

How do I make payment for my booking?

After booking through one of our partner channels, we email you an invoice to be paid online.

First night payments for bookings are due so if you don’t not show or cancel, we retain the first night and cancel the booking if no show on the first night. If you have not received our email, please check your spam folder and add our emails to your contacts allow: [email protected]

I haven't received a confirmation email. What should I do?

First off, check that it hasn’t slipped into your junk folder! If it’s not there, then get in touch with our lovely Reservations team and they’ll be able to help you out: Email: [email protected] or Call: +44(0 7916495468

How do I make a group booking?

If there’s 4 or more of you who’d like to book to stay with us, please get in touch with our Groups Department. Please note that we accept bookings for Stag & Hen parties and will require a deposit on arrival of £20 per person and full booking paid 30 days in advance of arrival.

Where can I get info about the city?

If you want to scout out the coolest stuff to do before you get to the city, check out our city guide pages for Liverpool. There’s loads of info updated daily on our Facebook and Twitter too, so head there to be in the know about cool happenings in each city.

The partner website Think Hostel Liverpool has some cool tips on things to do or their Travel SHOP is equipped with things to buy there to help you with getting more out of travel. You can book discounted tickets for tours and major attractions with them and even buy memorabilia posted directly to your home. They’ll also be happy to share their favourite local hot spots with you!

Is there Parking?

Yes, there is free on-street parking on the right-hand side when looking at the hostel main door or use the side streets if parking a bus or coach, cycles and motor bikes can be parked in either front or rear and we can host some cycles in the stand at the garden entrance.
